Certification of OUR FABRICS

ALL OUR FABRICS ARE CERTIFIED OEKO-TEX Standard 100, this means that we source fabrics from industries that are committed to minimizing their negative impact on the planet and human beings . We know that the fashion industry can be extremely harmful to the environment. Fast fashion (change often, buy again, poor quality) is everywhere and we don't want to encourage this kind of fashion. Of course, buying used or buying better quality pieces to keep them for longer, as well as buying locally made clothes can help the situation considerably. We know that this is not always possible, and since we are offering a new product, because maternity sportswear is already very rare on the market, we want to offer clothing with the least possible ecological impact.

The Oeko Tex Standard 100 certification ensures that we supply material designed with an omnipresent environmental and human awareness. This certification equals or exceeds the vast majority of national or international standards in terms of monitoring on harmful substances (legal or not) at all stages of fabric production. We believe that every small step can make a difference and we are proud that all our fabrics are certified!

LEGGING AND SUBLIMATION FABRICS

Our leggings are made of polyester fabrics from recycled plastic bottles and spandex. It is ultra elastic, sheathing and enhances the silhouette so that you feel beautiful and good. Each meter of fabric contains more than 6 recycled plastic bottles! We directly contribute to less plastic ending up in the oceans and landfills. Recycled polyester is of as good quality as virgin polyester but requires far fewer resources: 59% less energy is used and 32% less CO2 emissions. Not perfect but clearly better! Learn More

The general characteristics of polyester are increased strength, retention of fabric luster, lightweight, breathable and soft fabric. It does not wrinkle, stretch or will not fade. Perfect for durable sportswear.

Our polyester has received a ChitoSanté treatment, this is an eco-responsible treatment made from crab and shrimp shells that add several interesting characteristics to the fabric. It's the only treatment recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Properties and characteristics of the ChitoSanté fabric

Durable anti-bacterial

Anti-odor protection (polyester is known to give off bad odors when in contact with sweat)

Clean and hygienic

Non-toxic

Does not pill

Breathable

Quick drying

Moisture management and evacuation

Soft

Respects the environment

SUBLIMATIONis a process that directly colors the fiber of the fabric, so the shine does not diminish with washing. There is no chemical solvent, this is water based ink transferred to fabric by sublimation, (transition from solid to gaseous state), so thank you from our waterways, workers, textile industries and of our skin which will not absorb part of the chemical solvents used in the dyeing of the majority of fabrics (like jeans... yes yes...).The fabric arrives white and the print is then done in place That's why if you stretch it you will see some white, but not through it. Our leggings pass the squat test!

UPPER FABRICS

Organic cotton

Organic cotton is grown without fertilizer, from natural, untreated seeds. Organic crop rotation and the use of organic compost helps keep the soil rich and healthy, while preserving the biodiversity of our ecosystem. This makes cotton plants more resistant to disease and insect pests, making the use of pesticides, often recognized as carcinogenic and neuro-toxic, unnecessary. Farmers therefore work in a healthier environment, nature is not contaminated and plant remains can be used for other purposes such as animal feed, oil production, etc.

Tencel

Tencel/Lyocell is a rayon fiber (artificial silk) obtained from wood pulp from renewable sources which are rigorously certified according to very strict rules. Low toxicity solvents are used and recovered for further reuse to transform the pulp into fabric fiber. Tencel fiber is the only closed-loop fiber on the market which gives it characteristics such as increased resistance to pilling, absolute softness, allows thermoregulation and makes it naturally resistant to bacteria, while remaining completely biodegradable.

Modal

Modal is very similar to Tencel, the only difference is that it is made specifically from beech wood, responsibly grown of course with the same criteria as Tencel/Lyocell. Modal offers a very strong resistance to humidity and is extremely soft on the skin.
